With each new small progression Nokia’s struggling yet beloved games platform makes, it always seems to return to Bounceas its first call in a new port.
N-Gage is now flirting with motion controls, and a revamped version of Bounce Boing Voyage(which is a revamped version of the age old embedded Nokia game Bounce) is to be released that will use newer handset’s accelerometers.

Bounce Boing Voyage is a simple, addictive game that involves rolling a small rubber ball around a variety of assault courses, which makes it the ideal candidate for Nokia to test out motion controls.
To ensure backwards compatibility, it’ll still work with keypad and D-pad controls, though Nokia insists that “most devices coming later this year will feature motion control support”.
The iPhone (and the Wii, to some extent) has pretty much made it a prerequisite for new games to feature some kind of analogue motion sensors. And to be fair, they add a decent degree of functionality to the handset itself, so even if we don’t see all that many N-Gage games adopting the new range of accelerometers, the devices will be richer for them.
